I need to be a WAHM. How do you schedule time for caring for baby, yourself, home, laundry, cooking, etc & some time in to work? My baby is just over 3weeks old & right now between breast feeding every 1hr and a half sometimes every hour and all the other stuff mentioned above, I am not sure how I’ll fit in time to do a P/T job from home?! How do you do it? Does it get easier?! He’s not sleeping at night much either, to be expected, that’s the least of my concerns b/c I don’t need much sleep, I’m just weird & lucky like that!

Yeah having a newborn would make it hard to concentrate on other work. that I don’t know, but people find ways to make it all happen, you will to just need to find a routine that works for you.
Things do get eaiser as the baby gets older, their not so demanding of having a bottle every two hours and they can sometimes entertain themselves. Or you can take them to a like a daycare place for a few hours a day, that way they won’t be bored and you will have quiet time for whatever you need to do.
What did you expect. A doll. Your baby needs your attention for the first 6 months every hour on the hour. Baby will not sleep through the night till being fed some cereal. Just get toothpicks to hold up your eyelids. Teach hubby how to do household chores.
You want to work from home then hire a mother’s helper
I have been a work at home mom for 9 yrs, currently due any day with baby #4. I work for a company that allows me to decide how much time I want to invest in my business. You can privately ask me what company that is if you like, but i dont want to “spam” you. I love it because the baby (in the past, and i hope it works this time too) ussually sleeps in the beginning a lot. I would do a selling appt in my home and it would take 1-2 hrs. I would nurse the baby before they arrive. There are other kinds of appts that take less time, but i liked giving the presentations so my sales average goes up. I also have a personal website that I can send customers to. To me, work at home mom is waaaay easier to do than leaving the baby. And the flexibility of working for yourself is what a mom NEEDS.
I wouldn’t have it any other way. I now train many many women in my line of work, and mom’s is the most common type of person who does this. (as well as retired women, college girls etc) I have been able to bring in a full time income working arround my family and putting them first. I love it!
you just need to try and set a schedule. one of the good things about work at home jobs is that you can set your own schedule and work whenever you get a chance. at least thats the way that my work at home job is. just do it when you can, even if that means slinging the baby when you nurse and working then.
